The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. Based out of downtown Toronto area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary-to-full-time opening.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
- Accomplish full-cycle A/P
- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
- Provide support to internal business partners
- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
- Perform special projects as assigned
- Provide internal and external audit assistance as required
- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
- Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- Foundational knowledge in Invoice Coding
- Knowledge of Payable Invoices
- Invoice experience highly desired
- Proven knowledge of Navision
- Proficiency in Invoice Processing
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Salary:
- $18 – $21 per hour
Schedule:
- 8- hour shift
- Monday-Friday (5 days a week)
